EDM #153: Something in a plastic wrapper

I spent way too much time today hanging out with potatoes and plastic bags. This challenge was more difficult than I anticipated. I did several versions and finally decided I'd post the "best" painting IF my husband recognized what it was when he came home from work. (That's how low my art standards were by 5 p.m.) He walked in. I asked him what he was looking at. He responded, "potatoes in a plastic bag." Bingo! Here it is.

More potatoes, on their way to becoming soup.

Great job! I could tell right away they were potatoes in a plastic bag - LOL! That's funny that your DH was the "deciding factor" on posting!

These potpatoes(at the bottom0 look superb and the ones in the bag fantastic. Plastic is so hard...I either overdo or underdo it completely...yours is spot on! Looking forward to that soup..

This is great! I knew that they were potatoes right away. And the bottom ones -- out of the bag -- are fantastic.

EXCELLENT! The potatoes look so real also; hope the soup was as excellent as the art!

Fabulous job with your potatoes - I particularly like that one brown spot on the right-most 'soup' spud. Like a little potato eyeball winking at you...

Excellent plastic, Sharon. I've never attempted it. Love your potatoes out of the bag too. Now I'm drooling over your soup. Since I don't eat meat, I'm wondering if it will work without the bacon. Your food watercolours are delightful - I hope there is an illustrated recipe book in the making.

I think they look fantastic! You did get that plastic bag just right. They are both great watercolors :)
