EDM #144: Something (sort of) square

This is a very square cow, created out of a folded sheet of cut up rusty metal that sits on my kitchen counter.

Graphite with watercolor on smooth Bristol. (This is the first time
I've used watercolor on smooth drawing paper and I really like the effect.)

I like it a lot, too, Sharon--your cow is very effective. Must be charming in person too!

Love the cow. Love the colours in the cow. Display the cow.
(Don't ask me what was going on when I got into the cow rhythm. Some sort of zen thing. I don't want you to think that I was kidding about lovin' the cow though cause I REALLY do...) Love the cow.

I like this "juicy" wet feel.
Nice...

Fabulous! I love the loose lines and the warm color. Somehow reminds me of a "Ronell".

VERY observant Juj! I've been reading the book "Loosen Up" which I ordered after seeing it on Ronell's bookshelf. The author of the book is a crazy paint slinger and I decided to give her technique a try. Always a complement to have something I've done compared to Ronell's work!

This is just beautiful! It has such a loose, organic feel to it. I hadn't been by in a while - I love your recent posts. Must remember to stop by more often!

Love the cow....great watercolor washes, just enough detail, the cow looks so happy to be made alive thru your art!
