Portland: Norse Hall

The inspiration for this painting came from a photo in the Oregonian newspaper which I've had on my desk for awhile. I altered it a bit, adding clouds (it's Oregon!) and changing the colors. The building is quite wonky, but still, I like the cheerfulness of this painting.

I always manage to get the wonkiness in my work. This looks great to me.

What gorgeous, lively colors!

I really like your focus on the signage: brings the whole painting into an attractive, built world which seems novel for you yet you're comfortable there.
Nice work.

Great little scene--beautiful tree and shadow. This type of little vignette is so eternally appealing.
