Today is the day we get our country back!

The champagne is chilling. The flutes have been washed. Our friends are joining us this evening for dinner and election returns.

We tried this four years ago and it was a bust. But I'm thinking tonight we're going to have better results.

And I'm really looking forward to not having to cringe every time our president opens his mouth.

I'm with you all the way. In fact I saw you mentioned FOOD and CHAMPAIGN!! How do I get to your house?

Sounds like a PERFECT CELEBRATION for what I too hope will be a PERFECT ENDING. Our nation is in dire need of New Direction.

Like you, I will be watching with much hope for an Obama win...just no champaign, perhaps a Scotch over ice.

It's me again. I did a post today with a picture of the American Flag. I don't think I've ever been so moved by a picture of our flag since 9/11...it brought a tightness to my throat.

I truly believe our nation is at a turning point. There is much at stake in this election...not just for our nation but for the world.

Lovely painting, Sharon! Hope you and your friends enjoy popping that cork! Think I'll be toasting with a Svedka and cola. :)

I'm holding my breath and hoping I can get away from this convention to hear the voting news. Hope we all get to celebrate good things tonight. Beautiful, Sharon.

Perfect subject, Sharon! What a celebration we'll all have, seeing hope and decency and intelligence win over fear-mongering and narrow-mindedness! My nausea is turning to elation!

oh would i have loved to have been at your party!!! Our election night was with our sons and we all cheered and yelped and the boys went outside to yell their elation to the world. We live in...hum..a very conservative area of so. calif so our cheering was the only one heard on our street. I am feeling very proud and hopeful. Your sketch is so cheerful and inviting!
