Oh, yumm!


Apple galettes are the quintessential fall dessert. Mine always taste good, but they are often rough and mishappen in appearance. Today I made a pretty galette. (Actually, I guess the apples should have been arranged in concentric circles.) But still, I had to share...

I love making these--they're easy to do and delicious. You're making me wish I had some with really good ice cream to put on top. Yum!

Let me tell you from experience...taste has nothing to do with how the apples are arranged. Looks positively to die for. I agree, there is a definite call for Ice Cream.

I've never heard of these. What are they? Do you have a recipe? I live in Texas. We are finally getting a few fall colored leaves. Usually, they just start to turn a little, then a norther comes through and knocks all the leaves to the ground.
