If someone would buy me a selection of those cute little fake plastic pastries from Japan, I wouldn't have to bake
real pastries for use in my paintings. Notice how there is only one
Mexican chocolate cookie on the plate? Perhaps I showed restraint, or perhaps that is all that was left from the batch I baked yesterday.

LOL! I love this--it looks beautiful! I like the simplicity of it--you manage to keep it light but you used some rich, dark colors here, too! really looks like chocolate. Yum. I'd have eaten them all, I know it!
I know... you could say that your little 'morning visitor' ate the chocolate cookie...yeah...that's what happened!
Delightful painting!
You have to paint the REAL thing...yes...for art!!! :)
I would most certainly beam myself on over to have that last piece! This is a beautiful little painting and full of character. Your art is just inspiring!
You are toooooo funny, and Oh what we suffer for our art! Love this study in chocolate YUM!
I agree with everyone...I enjoy your baking stories, recipes, etc. almost as much as your paintings. By the way, I have added your blog as a link on my blog and I wondered if I could ask for your last name? Please disregard if you are not comfortable with that...love, love, love your work and your blog...
LOL! I just bought a dark chocolate candy bar yesterday for my "homework", to sketch. Now if I can just get it sketched before the whole thing disappears! :) I absolutely love your cup and saucer! You did a great job!
