EDM #140: An Envelope

This is the kind of mail I would prefer not to receive. I'm sure you all know what it is. And where it's headed.

Wonderful blog entry! Love the drawing. Did you find that envelope in the trash or something? Cool. Have a grand day!

Great drawing...it had me laughing because I know exactly what you mean :) Fantastic interpetation of the challenge :)

I dig this interpretation of the challenge. It tells a story: from pre-crumpled to post-crumpled...and the shadow is slightly more uncrumpled than the actual envelope. Through the subtle matching of the shadow color with the 'offer' text, it evokes the spectre of some kind of unwanted resurrection...like it is a monster that will haunt you again and again.
(Is today Halloween?!)

I'll bet that was a fun one to draw with all those wrinkles and folds. Great work!
