After a week of very hot weather, rain and cooler temperatures are headed to Oregon. One night of freezing temperatures and these zinnias will be finished.
A very quick little study while I waited for dinner to finish cooking.
We were also picking zinnias last time I was home to enjoy the last ones that will be blooming--I love them--they always have such rich colors and they make such fun fresh bouquets. I love your painting of these! You so captured them!
Lovely and delicate. Rain is on it's way here in Washington also. Nice and refreshing. OOP's probably shouldn't say that out loud .. some people really don't like the rain.
Beautiful, Sharon--so simply handled/painted, befitting the zinnias' casual arrangement on the table. A nice choice--I probably would've fussily tried to arrange them in a vase! What a great appetizer!
October is bittersweet, isn't it? Here in southern WI the colors are just turning, and my impatiens are still mounds of color, but I know a morning is coming and they'll be blackened mush. THose "last days of summer" flowers are precious.

OH, they are wonderful! Great rich colors!
Nice zinnias. Love the colors you used. And the simple style of a just layed down arrangement.

I love your quick sketches! Their looseness and vibrant colors reflect these zinnias in nature. So colorful with no pretensions. :)
