Oh, baby, it's cold outside

We hardly ever use our wood stove any more, but I woke up to this cozy fire, built by my husband before he left for work on this snowy Oregon morning...

Oddly enough the view outside my window in McMinnville in the other oregon valley is much the same. I am glad to have found your blog.

Oh, man--does that bring back memories! Great wood stove, Sharon! We used to have a "Papa Bear" wood stove when I lived in VA, and sometimes, when the power would go out, we'd have tons of folks visiting us because we still had warmth and I even learned to cook on it, so we'd have heat and good food. I loved that thing. This looks so toasty with the beautiful white surrounding you. Stay warm!

Oh boy! I'm jealous on several counts! A wood stove and a husband who builds you nice fire; and that beautiful snow!! It's gorgeous. It's cold here--but no snow; just rain and then ice: if it's going to be cold, you may as well have snow!
Happy Holidays, Sharon, and thank you--it's been great getting to "know" you this year!
